Overview
Abdominal migraine is a type of migraine primarily seen in children characterised by episodic abdominal pain without a headache. Children with abdominal migraines may go on to develop traditional migraines as they get older.
Presentation
Children present with episodic central abdominal pain lasting for hours (generally 2-72 hours). Associated features include nausea, vomiting, anorexia, pallor, and photosensitivity.
